I like the book Charlie and the chocolate factory because it encourages you to not give up and face your fears. So I recommend you read this book.

 I spy with my little eye, something beginning with sp.  A spade, a spear, a spaceship speeding to the moon. I spy with my little eye something beginning with sp. A sparrow, spoon, a spider, spinning spider webs. I spy with my little eye something beginning with sp. Spaghetti, spuds and spinach, YUCK! Spit! Spit! Spit!

My class did a collaborative piece of art.  We made an x, than we drew patterns .

I learnt how to draw an x . It was tricky to make a pattern because afterwards we had to colour it in.

WALT: Write a recount about our holiday.

In the holidays I went to Hokianga . On the first day of the holidays we went sand duning. The first time I went down I went right into the ocean! After that we had a picnic. We also had fish & chips on the beach .

I was learning to summarize the main idea. I learnt how to add pictures to google docs. It was tricky becauase you have to summarize the main idea.

Now I know how to draw a volcano.   It was tricky because we had to make a three dimensional hole.

Comparing School: Past and Present

Reflection:  We were learning about the past.  I learned that if their nails weren't clean they would have got a smack over the hands.  These days they wouldn't check our nails.   They had way different toys than us too.  I wouldn't like to go to olden day school because they were so strict.

Teacher Comment:  Well done Dylan, you are able to compare school then and now.  What a different life it would have been.  I think I might  like to be a teacher in the 1800s just for a day to see how different it would be.  (Joke!)
