I am learning to form my numerals correctly.

I am learning to write my numbers around the right way.  I am able to write up to 31 correctly but I need to remember how to form 9.

Dylan said," I need to make my numbers smaller. They are a little bit big, but they are getting smaller."

I am learning to make a rhyming string.

I am learning to find words that end with the same rhyming sounds.
I am learning to make a rhyming pattern.

Dylan said, " I am proud because I can make the first sound and I know lots of words."

I am learning water safety

I am learning to enter and exit the pool safely.

I am learning to glide on my front with a flutter board.

I am learning to float on my back with and without a board.

I am learning to manage myself and get changed independently.

Dylan said," I love to duck dive and dive. I like to do hand stands in the water."

Dylan said, "I got on the best work table, actually 3 times. I am really proud."

Greedy Cats

Last week we were reading the big book "Greedy Cat".  To follow on from this we decided to create our own cat faces for art.  Students had to look carefully at size and position as they sketched their cat faces onto paper.  Look at the great results!

My Writing

Dylan, look what  you can do with the help of a Teacher! You are beginning to recall basic words independently and are growing in confidence with using alphabet sounds to spell longer/unfamiliar words. Well done, keep it up!

Spring Blossom Tree

As part of our Spring celebrations we created a picture of a tree with blossoms.  First students practised sketching leaves and following that we explored the different shapes of trees.  Students then painted the trunk and branches as well as a background.  The final step was to draw and cut out leaves and grass, and then create blossoms using coloured tissue paper.  A lot of learning went on during this piece of art as students used their fine motor skills to add details to their work.
